About the program
The internship is a TWO QUARTER long process designed to teach students at UCSD skills in filmmaking ranging from pre production to post production.
In the FIRST PHASE, interns will learn the basics of filmmaking, and apply what they’ve learned to a personal project.
During the SECOND PHASE, interns will work to produce their own short film with peers, due by the end of Winter quarter.
COMPLETION of both phases will grant members access to TTV EQUIPMENT.
Applications are open twice a year
Triton Television accepts applicants during the Fall and Winter quarters. We do not require prior film knowledge, just your willingness and enthusiasm to learn about filmmaking!
We will re-open admissions to our internship in Winter Quarter of the 2024-2025 school year (apps open now!). Follow us on social media or come to our GBMs to be the first to hear when the application is released!

WINTER 2025 SCHEDULE
1/8 FIRST GBM! @ 6 PM
General body meetings are every Wednesday at 6 pm, at our STUDIO located on the second floor of the Old Student Center. Meetings are open to anyone!
1/10 Open Studio 7-9 PM
Come visit our studio space, meet our admin team, and try out our fancy equipment!
1/12 Internship Info Session (Hybrid) @ 12pm (Noon)

2/28 - 3/2 Fall 48 Hour Film Festival
Make a short film in 48 hrs!! The sign up form for the competition will be announced on our stories and our Discord
3/2 Fall 48 Hour Film Festival - Screening & Awards Ceremony @ 7PM
Come watch the finished films and find out who wins the awards!
3/12 Last GBM of the Quarter + Junior Producer Screening @ 6 PM
Join us for one last meeting before Winter break, and watch the Jr. Producer's films!
3/16 Intern Projects Screenings @ Noon
Join us to watch the intern's films and enjoy some Costco pizza and light refreshments!
