I love the collaborative nature of filmmaking and all the different mediums and skills it involves, and I’m excited to work with interns this year as the Director of Staff Development!

I love Studio Ghibli movies! My favorites change all the time, but mine right now are Only Yesterday and The Tale of Princess Kaguya. I’m also really interested in creative uses of the horror/gore genre (like Hausu, Titane, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) and the documentary genre (The Beaches of Agnes, Close Up, Sans Soleil, and How To With John Wilson) and also just generally really devastating films. I’ll always take a devastating film recommendation (I’ve been watching lots of Haneke like Amour and The Piano Teacher).
