AVA D’AMORE
I wish I could say I was one of those people who has known they always wanted to make movies since they were a kid, but that’s just not true. What I have always been sure of, however, was that I loved to create and perform, which eventually turned into an interest in cinema. Unfortunately, I never had an outlet to learn about or make films when I was younger, so when I learned UCSD has a filmmaking club I joined right away!
In TTV, I have not just found a place to learn and hone my skills but also a community of friends and colleagues. This organization is so unique and I’ve found some of my closest friends here who have fundamentally changed my college experience for the better. I’ve learned so much at TTV– about filmmaking and myself– and I can’t think of a better way to spend my senior year.
Outside of filmmaking, I spend my time trying to tire out my two dogs, gardening, going to concerts, reading books/comics, and racking up way too many hours on Pinterest. I also work for UCSD’s Department of Communication as a marketing intern, and as an assistant at the Media Lab. I’m always down to talk about the organization or just geek out about anything film or TV-related so feel free to swing by my office hours.
